The Reverend Canon Steve Schaitberger, Canon Missioner of the Northern Regions of the Diocese since 1995,will be honored on the occasion of his retirement with two celebrations in November. Sunday ,November 16 at 5:00PM at the Bemidji Town and Country Club at 2425 Birchmont Beach Road in Bemidji. Cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. Free-will donation. The Rev. On November 19th at 5:45PM we will have our Great Thanksgiving Feast to which member of Region III are invited. This year we will have a "dinner theatre" with turkey and all of the trimmings. The Covenant players will provide "theatre " for us. Dinner is free but there will be a love offering to cover expenses. Please RSVP as seating is limited.
As you may already know, Emmanuel has been selected as a Lab Congregation site for the Department of Congregational Development initiative. Our 1st meeting will be with our consultant from Seabury Institute on December 5-6th.This first meeting will be for our congregation and vestry. However, the next 3-4 meetings in 2004 will be open to representatives from other congregations.
