Council of SOH Minutes for 4/1 03

The SOH Council met on April 1 at St .Stephens in Paynesville. Thise present were Pat Gillespie, Mary Ann Erdmann, Virginia Berguson and Sandi Holmberg. Fran Svardahl was absent.. The meeting was opened with prayer led by Sandi.

No minutes of the previous meeting were available.

The treasurers report was distributed and discussed and accepted. A motion was made by Virginia that we pay travel expenses at .32 c per mile this quarter and review this at the next meeting.seconded by Mary Ann. and carried.Agreement was made that we ask the team members to fill out a monthly mileage report and send it to Mary Ann. This will give the council a better estimate of the totals each quarter.

The long distance phone service was discussed , and it was decided that the long distance current eystem was not used enough to justify the cost. Sandi made a motion that we discontinue the POPP account and have an 800 #, answering machine and fax machine in its place Pat will purchase a laser fax machine at a cost of about $275, which cost is covered by a grant. Motion seconded and carried. Pat has some grant money in her discretionary account, about $1500 , and will report back on how this is spent.The council affirmed that we would like to have a voting member of the Ministry team at each council meeting . This could be a person designated by the team, as they are able to come, and would be responsible for reporting back to the team on what ever business is acted on at the meeting.

An Administrator for the Ministry team is needed. We would sggest that Maren Kay be appointed, pending affirmation by the Team .A motion was made to this effect by Virginia, seconded by Sandi and carried

The next Council meeting will be on August 12 at Our Saviours church in Little falls.

There being no further business the meeting was closed with the Lord's Prayer.
